A daily battle is being waged against every Christian throughout the world. Who is waging this war against us? Satan and his minions! Why is he waging this war against us? Because he hates God and anything that God created, especially human beings who are created in His image and likeness. Satan does whatever he can to separate us from the love of God. If successful, he claims victory over the soul and reserves a place for it in eternal darkness.
Although the war against terrorism is extremely serious it pales in comparison to the spiritual battle that is going on right now. Ever since Lucifer and his followers were defeated and kicked out of Heaven satan has declared war on God's children. This war has been waged since Adam and Eve lost their original innocence in the garden and will continue until Christ returns as King and Lord.
No one, especially a Christian, can take a neutral position in this spiritual battle. Either you fight for Christ or become a casualty in this "cosmic" war. Indecisiveness can lead to inactivity and inactivity can lead to being captured by the enemy and taken prisoner. A member of the Mystical Body of Christ has two alternatives before them, either he can march under the banner of Christ and fight for God's Kingdom or he can march under the banner of the enemy and fight for the Kingdom of darkness.
There is no polite way of describing this battle. Satan is not interested in your material possessions, but is after one thing and one thing only - your soul. What satan desires most is to see your soul in hell for all eternity. This is precisely why each Catholic by virtue of their baptism and confirmation is called to fight for their own salvation and the salvation of their neighbor. It is important to remember that the Church on earth is referred to as the Church militant, not the Church passive.
If the above sounds a bit harsh or alarmist don't expect any sort of apology. Each Catholic must decide today, for tomorrow may never come, which banner they want to fight under, the Cross of Christ or the Pentagram of Satan. As I mentioned above taking a neutral position is taking no position at all. Don't delay, time is of the essence - take up your armor, your sword and shield and march into battle under the banner of Christ.
God bless!
